Parents of severely restricted children ring the alarm bell
Becoming a mother to a child with a disability means being able to handle something you can’t handle. It means loving a child that isn’t what you would have wanted it to be and being furious about ‘being like that’ a child that you’re closer to than anyone else. It means support, help and compassion from others, longing and cursing. It means being dependent on experts who can create and solve problems.
