Outplacement can be useful and helpful, but is often not what a parent strives for. Child(ren) are separated from their parents and parents from their children. If your parents and children had the option to continue living together, for example under supervision, they would probably take this option. With intensive guidance for parents to learn how to do it better or possibly differently, the family situation can improve.
