MEDVET project announced at Children and parent’s Christmas party

On the 16th  of December, 2019 the ‘’Elia’’ Foundation together with the the National Association of Professionals Working with People with Disabilities organized a Christmas Children’s Party for children with and without disabilities and their parents.  

The event took place in the “Limakon” Hall in Plovdiv city, where children and their relatives, professionals and volunteers were invited to enjoy the celebration and learn about innovative ways to support, facilitate and enhance the lives of children with and without disabilities.

Special guests at the event were Professor Dora Lefterova from the University of Plovdiv “Paisii Hilendarski”” and Montessori educator- Sylvia Todorova.
The event was divided into two parts. The founder of the ‘’Elia’’ Foundation and father of a child with autism, thanked and welcomed everyone for coming to support and learn about the foundation and their mission, namely a better future for the children.

Afterwards, Maria Goranova, the founder of NARHU, continued presenting various services and initiatives, united under the motto “I am raising up a happy child”.  MEDVET as well as its training materials were also announced to the parents and all participants received project leaflets. Sylvia Todorova spoke about the idea of Montessori program learning. Created as part of Erasmus+ project, a mobile app for recognition of speech pathology for children was also introduced. Maria Goranova spoke about two new methods – psychomotor program and sensor integration which support the personal development of children and strengthen their physical and emotional health and well-being.

In the second part of the celebration, children, parents and special guests enjoyed the food, drinks and surprises prepared for them.Everyone watched with joy as children with and without disabilities became friends, communicated and entertained, through songs and dances.
The stage was given to the children to show off their skills and talent for fun.
The party was in its prime.

At the end of the evening, Snow White and her faithful dwarf helpers delighted the children with presents and beautiful Christmas wishes. Thus, the “NARHU” team celebrated a successful 2019 year under the motto “Together we make things happen”

The Christmas children’s party ended with a lot of smiles, memories and new friendships.
